Social entrepreneurship is when a social challenge is addressed through a business-like framework. It is a process carried out by people who build or transform an organization to tackle social problems such as poverty, illness, illiteracy, environmental destruction, human rights abuses and corruption to enhance the lives of others.
This summit has been a turning point for me, because I learnt the difference between an entrepreneur and a social entrepreneur. I will be setting up an enterprise in April. I was greatly inspired by the social entrepreneurs I met and all thanks to you I'll have my own venture in a month. Thank you for the opportunity.
